Barbara and Lee have been dancing Tango for over 15 years and their journey into this dance has been nothing less than magical.

Barbara and Lee began their dancing career learning ballroom many years ago. In fact, they met at a Practice Party and married a few years later. With two little children to raise, they didn't dance for over 10 years and started dancing, once again, with line dancing for the whole family.

An anniversary gift of lessons brought them back to the ballroom dance world, and eventually to Tango, studying first with Susan Lake and then at El Mundo del Tango with Ive Simard. After many years as students and avid participants, they both participated in the Argentine Tango Master's Association (ATMA) teacher's programs, graduating many years ago.

What began as a love of the tango has become a passion that they want to share. Tango means something different to each of us…the beauty of the music, the freedom of expression, a sense of community. The true joy is in dancing what’s in your heart.

Barbara is a licentiate (Silver Level) of the ATMA and has been teaching for over 10 years. Her claim to fame is her excellent and precise footwork and her vast technical knowledge. Her students and leaders often remark at her ability to follow everything.

Lee is a Fellow (Gold Level) of the ATMA and has also been teaching for over 10 years. Blessed with an excellent memory and a desire to master the dance, Lee brings a deep knowledge of patterns, names and technique to his students.

Both Barbara and Lee have been teaching Tango, Milonga and Vals for over 10 years and have taken instruction from some of the best instructors in the world. They have taught the Tango, Milonga, Vals, and Pecho syllabusses and were the only instructors, other than Ive Simard, to teach a course in the Masters series.
